Forms and Insurances

The mountain rescue is very expensive, the French Ski Federation advises its members to purchase insurance coverage. It offers with its Snow Card License various insurance options tailored to individual requirements, at advantageous prices reserved for its licensees. These insurance options provide guarantees tailored to sporting activities practiced at the mountain, winter as summer, in France and worldwide.
What is guaranteed?
The guarantees offered to licensees are granted in the event of injury occurring in the world, because of the practice as an amateur:

• Skiing in all its forms,
• Physical activities (not subject to exclusion) practiced at the mountain, including skiing or hiking trails with or without snowshoes (with the exception of raids and individual expeditions are guaranteed only if they take place in Europe),
• Sports or activities (performed in plain or at the mountain), jointly organized by and under the responsibility of an association or a group affiliated with the FFS.

Snow Card License Insurance Options

Any Snow Card License holder is insured for liabilities.

Liability Option

• The insurer bears the financial consequences of the licensee responsibility if he causes injuries, material or immaterial dammages to a third party.

First Option

• Liability Insurance
• Defense and appeals
• Rescue, search and first transport Cost
• Ambulance costs

Option Leisure

• Liability Insurance
• Defense and appeals
• Rescue, search and first transport Cost
• Ambulance costs
• Refund lift passes and ski lessons,
• Loss and theft of the season package: Ski Breakage,
• Reimbursement of care costs.
• In case of personal ski breakage, coverage for the rental of equivalent equipment up to a period of 8 days in an approved FFS shop.
• Support:
• Transport to the most suitable hospital or home,
• Accompanying children,
• Driver replacement
• Body repatriation in case of death

Option Fund Leisure

• Guarantees same option Leisure but only for the cross-country skiing.

Family Option

• From 4 or more people from the same family, garantees are identical to the Option Leisure.
