Le Grand Puy (1300 - 1800 m)

Seyne-les-Alpes, mountain village in the Southern Alps, once hosted the Grand Puy ski domain between 1,300 and 1,800 meters altitude. However, since October 2024, the resort has permanently closed its ski lifts. Grand Puy is no longer an operational alpine ski destination in January 2026.

Current status : Ski lifts no longer operate. The 170-hectare infrastructure will not offer alpine skiing this season or beyond. The resort is transitioning to summer and nature-based activities (hiking, VTT, family activities).

Historical pre-closure data (2023-2024): The domain offered 22 km of slopes (estimated 13-14 runs: 2 green, 2-3 blue, 5-7 red, 3 black), 10 km cross-country, 3 snowshoe routes. Artificial snowmaking 1,300-1,600 m. 7 lifts (1 detachable chairlift 2016 + 6-7 drag lifts).

Seyne-les-Alpes: protected heritage (XIIth-century church, Vauban fortifications), 40 km Digne-les-Bains. For alpine skiing currently, prefer open Southern Alps resorts: Chabanon-les-Clots (25 km), Pra Loup, Risoul, Vars.
