Just 7 km from Modane and at the gateway to Vanoise National Park, Aussois embodies the authentic Savoyard mountain village. Nestled on a vast sunny plateau at 1,500 meters altitude, this destination labeled Family Plus for over 10 years seduces through preserved mountain authenticity, traditional colorful chalets, and unique positioning: only south-exposed resort in Maurienne Valley. At the foot of Dent Parrachée (3,697m), Aussois merges generous skiing (1,250 m vertical) and exceptional winter activities for families.

For alpine skiing, the domain offers 55 kilometers of slopes spread across 21 runs: 5 accessible green runs, 6 intermediate blue runs, 7 challenging red runs and 3 expert black runs. 5 distinct ski sectors: snow front (children/beginners protected), forest ambiance Grand Jeu (runs through spruce, mythical red Choullière), Armoise sector (high domain 2,700m, alps panorama), Fournache (north-exposed, technical runs), Combin. Summit access 15 minutes only: 4 modern chairlifts + 4 drag lifts efficient. 130+ snow cannons cover 100% domain, crucial south exposure: guarantee skiing November-April.

Complete Snowpark: freestyle zone modules all levels, boardercross rail park (free access), big air bag, slalom stadium. Luge zones: 3 slopes (children snow front, natural toboggan free access, pony luge). Balmes run (black), Montjoie run (red).

For cross-country skiing, Nordic domain Monolithe Aussois-Val Cenis Sardières offers 30 kilometers of groomed trails classic + skating, through spruce forests and alpine landscapes. Multi-level runs (2 green, 2 blue, 3 red).

Major complementary activities: dog sledding, ski joëring (ski pulled by horses, Maurienne specialty), snowshoe trails 30 km, snake glisse (special luge), yooner (4-wheel luge), snowtubing, biathlon (rifle shooting), paragliding (chairlift access), VTT (Evita Carnéa descent), ice rink, night skiing possible.

Aussois village (1,500m): authentic stone chalets, fountains, historical monuments, preserved Vanoise heritage. Family Plus label 10+ years: childcare (infants), snow gardens, animations, approved facilities. Traditional Savoyard restaurants: tartiflette, fondue, regional cuisine.

Exceptional access: TGV Modane direct Paris/city-center 4h, 7 km D215. Nearby airports (Chambéry 1h15, Lyon 2h, Geneva, Turin). Espace Haute Maurienne Vanoise: complete pass access (65+ lifts, 130+ km associated slopes).
