Located just 7 km from Modane at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park, Aussois stands out as a unique destination in the Maurienne Valley. Perched on a vast plateau at 1500 meters altitude, it is the only ski resort in the valley with a full South-facing exposure. This orientation guarantees sunshine throughout the day and breathtaking views of the valley and the historical Esseillon forts.

Fast and Scenic Alpine Skiing: The ski area offers 55 km of slopes (21 runs) with an impressive 1250-meter vertical drop (1500m - 2750m). Thanks to a highly modern lift system (mostly high-speed detachable chairlifts), you can reach the summit in under 15 minutes with virtually no queuing. To balance its sunny exposure, Aussois boasts one of the most efficient snowmaking systems in the Alps, covering main routes from top to bottom ensuring ski-in/ski-out access from December to April. Skiers enjoy varied terrain, from forest trails (Grand Jeu sector) to high alpine open spaces (Armoise and Fournache sectors) beneath the Dent Parrachée peak.

Nordic Skiing & Unique Activities: The Monolithe Nordic area (connected to Sardières) offers 30 km of cross-country skiing tracks (skating and classic) winding through spruce forests. For non-skiers and thrill-seekers, the resort is famous for unique activities such as snowtubing, Yooner (a seat on a single ski), and especially Ski Joëring (horse-drawn skiing), a local specialty. Families benefit from dedicated fun zones, safe sledding slopes, and the Famille Plus label, ensuring top-tier childcare and entertainment.

Village & Access: Aussois has preserved its authentic Savoyard soul with traditional stone and slate architecture and a lively village square. Accessibility is among the best in the French Alps: the Modane TGV station is just 15 minutes away (4h from Paris) via a direct shuttle or taxi, and the A43 highway is nearby. The ski pass is part of the Espace Haute Maurienne Vanoise, allowing you to ski one day in neighboring resorts (Val Cenis, Bonneval, etc.).

Joli gîte au milieu de de la piste de l'Ortet. Très mal entretenu. 2 salles de bains sur 5 en état, éviers bouchés, chauffages en panne, lampes défectueuses, poignées de portes. Manque de place pour le nombre de personnes annoncé

Petit village perché à 1500m, domaine skiable familial de qualité, randonnées de tous niveaux, piscine, jeux extérieurs pour petits ,tennis , camping municipal avec Mobilhome et chalets récents pour l'été et l'hiver

Village très joli, qui a su garder son âme savoyarde. Il y a tous les commerces de 1ère nécessité. C'est une station de ski familiale, pas énormément de pistes mais très bien placée car on a accès à plusieurs stations en quelques kms.
