In the heart of Vercors Regional Natural Park, between 1,050 and 1,650 meters altitude, Autrans-Méaudre embodies France's Nordic skiing capital. Two authentic preserved villages, 5 km apart, nestle in imposing limestone massif offering breathtaking panorama over Belledonne chain, Chartreuse, Mont-Blanc. Living heritage of 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics, this mountain destination respecting environment breathes slow skiing, landscape authenticity, family conviviality.

The Nordic domain = true jewel with 130-180 km cross-country runs classic + skate spread across 2 interconnected zones: Gève Plateau (1,300-1,500m altitude, 130 km wide Olympic runs, imperishable spruce forests, Panoramic Run 25 km red spectacular Belledonne+Chartreuse+Mont-Blanc view) and Méaudre (80+ km accessible link plains, soft family-friendly). Reliable snow December-April thanks to Gève altitude + 36 snowmaking cannons. Biathlon stadium, Foulée Blanche race (1.5-42 km popular races January), Nordic Park Ludipark future champion initiation, marked snowshoe + groomed pedestrian trails separate from skiers.

The alpine domain = intimate small scale 33-38 runs (11-15 green, 8-10 blue, 6-11 red, 2-4 black) spread across 2 interconnected sectors La Sure Autrans (20 km, west-facing, technical + family) + Châtelard/Forêt Méaudre (18 km, east/north-facing, forested) + access Lans-en-Vercors (80 km proximity). Total alpine 18-41 km local runs + free inter-zone shuttle = democratized access. 10 lifts (1 La Quoi chairlift + 9 drag lifts distributed) accessible 1.5h Grenoble = authentic family budget.
