Bella la cittadina e la zona che la circonda. Ci sono stato in estate, per alcuni giorni, sia quest'anno che l'anno scorso. La valle e' molto piacevole e tranquilla, con diverse funivie ( gratuite usando la Silvretta card..) che si collegano anche con la cittadina svizzera ( tax free ) di Samnaun. Ci sono molte possibilita' per escursioni di ogni tipo in montagna, il parco termale e molti ristoranti ed alberghi. Consigliata, anche per chi non e' interessato all'Iron bike....

Ok, so you have already done Kitzbuhl and the Dolomites for your ski-lunches and now you want to see a different lunch adventure ... ISCHGL is that place! Ski the long ride down into Switzerland and go shopping and race back before the last chair leaves. Getting over there is not real difficult, but does have some steep alternatives to enjoy. Ischgl is huge and has something for everyone, but if you are American make sure you read and understand their map system, because taxi and bus rides out of regions that close early are not cheap to escape from and may force you to stay somewhere you can't afford. So the bar that we are having lunch at, the Tourismusverband Paznaun, is at the furthermost portion of the Ski resort! Just when I realized that this ski resort was a pretty serious adventure, I had thought I'd better keep my whereabouts pretty focused. What seemed to be a skiing desert of endless runs taking us further and further away, we decided to give up on finding this place. It was at the top of the chair that we could faintly hear a disco beat ... we followed the Italian ski instructors that said they had to go to the bathroom. That bathroom was at the end of the run and covered on one side and that is where the Disco in the Snow Desert was! Our fastest way back included some of the steepest runs in Austria ... so we took them! What a great place, but be patient because it is the way the hell away from everything ... the resort that is. We are going back!
