Located between 1,500 and 2,500 meters altitude in the Dévoluy massif in the Hautes-Alpes, La Joue du Loup is a charming mountain resort dotted with small wooden chalets offering an authentic cosy atmosphere. For cross-country skiing, the Nordic area offers 30 kilometers of trails groomed for both classic and skating techniques at Collet du Tât (1,613 meters), divided into 5 green trails for beginners, 4 intermediate blue trails, 5 advanced red trails, and 1 very difficult black trail. A 650-meter Nordic stadium with artificial snowmaking allows training and competitions. Trails offer great landscape diversity with clearings, forests, and sweeping traverses facing west to east between 1,440 and 1,640 meters altitude. Access to the Nordic area is from Superdévoluy, La Joue du Loup or Col du Festre, with 20 kilometers of multi-activity trails (skating and classic) complementing the Nordic offering.
The resort also features 20 kilometers of marked snowshoe trails offering exceptional views of the massif, 20 kilometers of groomed pedestrian trails for family walks, and play areas for children.
