The ski resort Le Grand Bornand belongs to the domain Massif des Aravis which also includes La Clusaz and Manigod.

Nestled in the heart of the Aravis massif in Haute-Savoie, between Mont Blanc and Lake Annecy, Le Grand-Bornand is more than just a resort: it is the embodiment of the French mountain art of living. Skiing Facing the Aravis Range & Land of Biathlon The alpine ski area offers 84 km of slopes (with access to the 220 km of the Aravis massif shared with La Clusaz) set in a cinematic landscape. Skiing in Le Grand-Bornand means gliding while facing the Aravis Range, a spectacular limestone wall that glows fiery red at sunset. The resort highlights this natural "Land Art" with unique experiences like "Sunset Skiing," extending the fun into the twilight hours. However, Le Grand-Bornand is world-famous as a Nordic skiing stronghold. It is the only French venue to regularly host the Biathlon World Cup (Annecy-Le Grand-Bornand) in its Olympic stadium located right in the village center. With 58 km of cross-country trails winding through the Bouchet Valley and the Col de la Colombière, it is the training ground of champions.

À l’occasion de la coupe du monde de Biathlon, nous étions au passage au Grand Bornand. La navette gratuite était bien organisée et desservie. Assez de personnel pour l’organisation et la sécurité. L’office de tourisme était à l’écoute pour nous donner tous les renseignements. Nous avons passé un bon séjour !

Le Grand-Bornand, village de montagne, dans le cœur des Aravis, vous pouvez profiter toute l'année, les saisons sont magnifiques.... Énormément d'activités aussi bien l'été que l'hiver.🍂🍁❄️💥🏔️

Très joli village montagnard qui vit autant l été que l hiver : L’été vous découvrirez les joies de la randonnée, des marchés artisanaux L hiver vous pourrez profiter de son beau domaine skiable. Petite anecdote : Au pied de l église j ai été surprise de retrouver un manège que je connaissais très bien et pour cause il a longtemps été sur la place Travot de Cholet. Pour l histoire : ce manège a été réalisé à la demande des Dirigeants de la société Catimini pour fêter leur 20 ans d existence, il a été réalisé dans les entrepôts des machines de l île de Nantes…. Il a longtemps voyagé à travers toute la France et finalement il a été racheté par la ville du Grand Bornand pour le plaisir de tous les petits.

Soirée du nouvel an 2025-2026 très mal organisée en terme de logistique pour le transport en navette jusqu'au grand bornand village. Super serrés à l'aller, et une seule navette prévue pour le retour. Nous avons été contraints de prendre un Uber ! Inadmissible ! Si nous avions su nous serions restés chez nous tranquilles bien au chaud. Merci encore pour cette soirée mémorable.
