Lente (1071 - 1300 m)

Nestled in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Vercors, the hamlet of Lente is located in the commune of Bouvante, Drôme, at around 1,170 metres altitude. A gateway to the magnificent Lente state forest rated "Worth the Detour" by the Michelin Guide, this preserved site offers an exceptional natural environment of beech and fir forests, largely replanted after the devastating storm of 1982.

Lente offers no alpine skiing or mechanical lifts. It is part of the Vercors Sud Nordic Area (Font d'Urle / Chaud Clapier), which totals over 115 km of marked and groomed Nordic trails for all levels. On site, nature lovers will find snowshoe trails and hiking paths winding through the vast forest massif.

Lente is an ideal destination for lovers of authentic, unspoilt nature, far from the hustle of major ski resorts. Hiking, snowshoeing, forest mountain biking in summer and peaceful walks through the beech-fir landscape are the highlights of any stay in this quiet and verdant hamlet.
