Amazing slopes, breathtaking scenery, and zero wait times at the lifts. It’s easily one of the best ski destinations I’ve visited.

A stunning ski resort. We visited during the Easter holidays and snow conditions were excellent. The lift system is efficient and long queues are incredibly rare. The only day when queues were an issue was during a bad weather day when everyone stayed low down as the higher lifts were closed. This put more pressure on the system than would usually be expected. There are stunning, wide blue pistes as well as more challenging red runs. The scenery is breathtaking. The Top Express lift from Obergurgl to Hochgurgl is vulnerable to closure during windy days. This happened twice during our stay and we had to get the bus back from Hochgurgl to Obergurgl. Your lift pass includes access to Sölden lower down the valley. I thoroughly recommend getting the bus to Sölden for a day’s skiing. There is a glacier there and even more extensive skiing.
