The ski resort Serre Chevalier Monêtier belongs to the domain Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon which also includes Serre Chevalier Briançon, Serre Chevalier Chantemerle and Serre Chevalier Villeneuve.

Le Monêtier-les-Bains: Serre Chevalier's high-altitude and thermal sanctuary. Nestled at an altitude of 1500 meters at the gateway to the Écrins National Park, the village of Le Monêtier-les-Bains embodies the most authentic and pristine soul of the Serre Chevalier valley. Easily accessible via Briançon or the scenic Lautaret pass, this Hautes-Alpes gem cultivates a unique atmosphere, blending the preserved architecture of a historic mountain hamlet with an absolute dedication to wellness. This is where the natural heart of the ski area beats, offering demanding skiers a peaceful base camp far from the urban hustle, where traditional stone and wood chalets stand alongside millennia-old natural hot springs. The resort's identity relies on this striking contrast: an untouched pastoral heritage elevated by a premium and intimate tourist experience.

An XXL ski area dominated by peaks and larch forests. By clicking into your skis in Monêtier, you gain direct access to the highest point of the Serre Chevalier Vallée ski domain, perched at an altitude of 2800 meters at the top of the Pic de l'Yret. This privileged sector guarantees exceptional snow quality throughout the winter season and opens the doors to 250 kilometers of interconnected slopes. Thrill-seekers can challenge themselves on the legendary Cucumelle black run or dive into the steep pitches of the Tabuc, while intermediate skiers will enjoy wide, panoramic red slopes like the Aya. The major asset of this mountainside lies in its majestic forest skiing: weaving through centuries-old larch trees during snowy days provides optimal visibility and a pure gliding experience, the true signature of this high-altitude sector.

The ultimate apres-ski experience: The Grands Bains and Nordic adventures. The appeal of Monêtier-les-Bains extends far beyond alpine skiing, thanks to an incredibly rich off-ski offering crowned by the famous Grands Bains du Monêtier. This massive thermal spa center, fed by a naturally occurring 44°C hot spring, allows you to unwind in steaming outdoor pools facing the glaciers, providing idyllic muscle recovery after a day on the slopes. Certified with the Famille Plus label, the resort also excels in welcoming families with safe play zones and magnificent cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails along the Guisane river. The late-afternoon atmosphere is epicurean and inviting, perfect for tasting local specialties in traditional inns, perfectly wrapping up a mountain day balanced between athletic exertion and absolute rejuvenation.
